Sarah received her B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Northeastern University and M.S. in Engineering, Science & Technology Entrepreneurship Excellence (ESTEEM) from the University of Notre Dame.
She has experience in analyzing various Pratt & Whitney engines, has designed probes for particle imaging and analysis at a startup in Berlin, helped develop an underwater autonomous vehicle for storage tank inspections at a startup in Boston, and was a Safety Engineer at Amazon Robotics where she was the Safety Lead for the first Amazon Robotics site to launch in Australia.
While at Northeastern she was a member of the Northeastern American Institute for Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) where she worked with a team to develop a mechanism to de-spin a rocket for AIAA’s Project Kármán, a rocket designed to reach the Von Kármán line, 100 km above the Earth’s surface. She was also a member of the Northeastern Women’s Water Polo Team, played in the Northeastern Pep Band, and studied abroad in Thessaloniki, Greece.
In 2020, Sarah graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a Master of Science as a part of the Engineering, Science & Technology Entrepreneurship Excellence Masters Program (ESTEEM). Her thesis focused on the business and engineering applications of using AI and drones for building facade inspections in collaboration with Underwriters Laboratories (UL). While at Notre Dame Sarah was an avid member of the band program: She served as a Band Ambassador, played clarinet in the Notre Dame Marching Band and Hockey Band, bass clarinet in University Band, and picked up the trumpet and trombone to join their respective Choir Bands and Bagpipe Band. To continue her passion for rocketry, Sarah joined the educational outreach program with the Notre Dame Rocket Team (NDRT) to bring rocketry into classrooms around South Bend. She also continued her love of swimming and water polo by joining the Women’s Water Polo Team.
Sarah is currently a Mechanical Engineer at Wayve, where she focuses on both hardware and software testing for autonomous vehicles. She works cross functionally across several departments on hardware, electrical, and software testing and manages Wayve’s Hardware in the Loop (HiL) and test benches from the planning stages, builds, and bring up to every day troubleshooting.
Outside of work Sarah enjoys running and has finished three marathons, swims, plays bass clarinet in a community band is an avid D&D player and 3D printing enthusiast.
